London Baby!

Hi guys!!! First of all apologies.  I started this blog thinking I've got some extra time on my hands and doing a blog will be a fun way to fill that gap.  I must have become so aware that I had time to spare that suddenly I have now found myself very busy with lots of new activities.  Which is fun for me but rather neglectful of my blog.  I promise I am still really into my blog and will dedicate some time shortly.

Having said that, I'm going to London this weekend!  It's my son's 13th Birthday (Happy Birthday Mate!!!) And we are going there for a visit and to go to the Harry Potter tour.  So excited yikes!!!   Note to self: Must remember not my birthday so calm down, ha, ha!!

I thought I would do some cute nails for London in the Great British theme.  As we have just had the jubilee and the olympics are on their way and all that good stuff.

Sorry it's a bit messy I'm in such a rush, oops!!

So I used Nail Envy as a base.
China Glaze Dance Baby
And White and Hot Pink Acrylic Paint.

I hope you like my cute London Nails and let me know if you have your own variation of the Union Jack.

Ok, Bye for now!

I am pleasantly surprised by all of these colours.  There wasn't a bad one of the ones I picked.  The Holos are perfect and am really happy about them but the Diamond and Metallic ones are all really nice and  are really strong colours.  There are lots that could be used just as top coats.  I love that I have the option to try all these new things.

We got these from ebay from the seller Joy's Cosmetics.  She is really good, they came really quick and she was very helpful and prompt over any enquiries we had.  She has 232 colours and you can buy less than what I have here. I think she even has the option to buy just one.

So Thank You very much to my Husband for this beautiful set and also for helping take the pictures for my blog.  Love You Baby x

If you would like to see any colour in more detail, just let me know.  Do you already have some of these colours, what do you think about them?

Ok, Bye for now!

Why So Blue?

Hi guys!  I'm so blue!!  My nails have all had to be filed down.  I told you a couple of weeks ago, that I had damaged my nails taking off China Glaze Prismatic.  I'm not blaming the product because I love it, just the silly woman in too much of a rush to remove it (me!).  I have had to wait to let the scratches and damage grow out before I could file down.  The damage has still not all completely gone, so I will have shorter nails for the next few weeks.

I don't think it has showed up clearly enough the damage still left on my nails.  I have been giving my nails a little break the last few days to do some extra treatments so that when I grow them out they should be strong again!

I thought I would do a free hand nail art.  I am recreating again one of my lost nail pictures.  My original nails were a bit longer than they are now so I wanted to know if it would work on shorter nails.  And the blue to cheer me out of my blue mood!

1.  Base Coat Nail Envy
2.  Konad White Regular Polish
3.  Maybeline  650 Midnight Blue Forever Strong
     sponged on randomly.

4.  Random flowers and leaves
5.  Draw a sloping French Manicure on Ring Finger And Thumb

The more random and different on each nail adds to the effect.  It doesn't have to be neat, the messy effect works well with this look.

6.  Add Rhinestones

It really does create a nice effect on your nails, close up and further away.  I got so many compliments last time I did it which was about a year ago.  The image for them is down below.

I retrieved these from my Facebook page and as you can see last time I used more Rhinestones and different types of flowers.  My nails are a bit smaller than last time so I wanted to limit the Rhinestone to just my thumb and ring finger.

I hope you like my design, which version do you prefer?

Ok, Bye for now!

Engagement Party Nails!

Hi Guys! The kids are off school at the moment and I've been so busy and been neglecting my little haven that is this blog!!!  Hopefully should be back to normal soon.

Anyway my brother has just got engaged and is having a party on Saturday ( Congratulations!!!)  I've got my little dress now what to do about the nails, because these are the priorities, well for me anyway.  My dress is beige with black lace and a criss, cross front.

So I thought I was going to do beige nails with a criss, cross lace Konad stamp.  Unfortunately I have baby sized nails and I just couldn't make it look the way I wanted.

Using this lace but in a criss cross manner!

Anyway, The lace theme I could get over but I still wanted to something in a criss cross sort of way.  Then I remembered last year copying some nails that  Tartofraises1  had done on YouTube.  Totally different colours and her version is far superior. But my version didn't turn out too bad seen as though my nail art brush which I thought was lost was infact squashed under the bed oops, so it didn't want to cooperate!

1.   Nail Envy Base Coat
2.   Beige Konad Nail Polish
3.   Black and White acrylic paint using the one stroke method
4.   Black Rhinestone in the center
5.   Some Black dots either side to finish off
6.   OPI Top Coat

Just a little note about Tartofraises1 or Cutenails (english version).  If you haven't heard of her she is a French Nail artist who does YouTube Videos and also a blog.  She encourages her viewers to try and emulate her work otherwise I would not have included it on my own blog.  She has tons of videos and tutorials and seems to want to encourage you to try her designs.  If you are looking for some inspiration maybe check her out some time.

I hope you like my version of this nail art and I will now have to invest in some more nail art brushes!!! Let me know what you think of this design or if there was some idea that you had that would have been more suitable.  I appreciate any feedback given!

Ok, Bye for now!
